Overview
Quiet Time ("the App") is a meditation and focus timer developed by Sean McCammon. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it. We are committed to being transparent about what data is and is not collected.
The short version: Quiet Time itself does not collect, store, or share any personal data. The only data activity comes from the third-party advertising service (Google AdMob) used to display banner advertisements.
Information We Do Not Collect
Quiet Time does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- Your location data
- Your contacts, messages, or call logs
- Your usage habits or session history
- Any data from your microphone, camera, or files
No user account is required to use the App.
Permissions Used
The App requests the following Android permissions, each used solely for its stated purpose:
- Do Not Disturb Access – Used to silence all notification sounds and vibrations during your quiet session. This permission is never used outside of an active session and does not allow the App to read your notifications or contacts.
- Foreground Service – Allows the countdown timer to continue running reliably while the App is active on screen.
- Post Notifications – Used only to display a persistent notification showing the remaining time in your quiet session (required by Android for foreground services).
None of these permissions are used to collect personal data. No data accessed through these permissions is transmitted off your device by the App.
Advertising – Google AdMob
The App displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalised or non-personalised advertisements. This data collection is governed by Google's own privacy policies and may include:
- Device identifiers (advertising ID)
- IP address and approximate location
- Device model, OS version, and language settings
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

Children's Privacy

Because Quiet Time does not collect or store any personal data on our systems, there is no personal data held by us that could be subject to a data breach. All data handling related to advertising is managed by Google AdMob under their own security infrastructure.
