This Privacy Policy describes how PDF View and Launch ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not:
- Require you to create an account or log in
- Collect, store, or transmit your PDF files or their contents
- Collect your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Track your location
- Share any data with the developer
2. File Access
The App accesses PDF files solely on your device in order to display them. Files are opened and read locally; they are never uploaded to any server. You control which files and folders the App can access through the Android permission system.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve relevant ads, Google may collect and use certain information from your device, including:
- Advertising ID (a resettable, anonymous device identifier)
- General device information (model, OS version)
- Approximate location (if permitted by your device settings)
- App interaction data for ad performance measurement
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. Google's use of advertising data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Settings → Privacy → Ads on your Android device, or by resetting your Advertising ID.
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party SDKs:
- Google AdMob — advertising (Privacy Policy)
- Google Play Services — required by AdMob (Privacy Policy)
We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
6. Data Security
Because the App does not collect or transmit your personal data or file contents, there is no developer-held data to secure. Any data collected by Google AdMob is protected under Google's security practices.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by a new "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
